Anticipated noise levels are considered at all times and must be disclosed at the time of booking.

At all times, background music and sound must not exceed a level where normal conversation is possible without raising your voice.

Use of a microphone or PA system is not permitted at any time.

From 7:30pm, noise levels must reduce further - all music and sound must be kept at a soft and ambient level.

The hall has great acoustics which assists facilitators in projecting their voice.

Maximum capacity is determined on a case-by-case basis depending on the nature of your event, your planned setup, and venue practicalities. This is confirmed with you at the time of booking.

Most hirers book Soul Space Brisbane months in advance and require significant lead time to promote and plan their events. Once your booking is confirmed, all other enquiries for those dates are declined. For this reason, our cancellation policy is strict and we do not offer transfers of postponements - a date change requires a full cancellation and rebooking. 

Cancellation fees apply as follows:

- 16 weeks or more notice - 20% of total hire fees

- 6 to 16 weeks notice - 50% of total hire fees

- Less than 6 weeks notice - 100% of total hire fees, no refund

Please be confident in your dates before proceeding with a booking. 

Yes, you are required to hold current public liability insurance with a minimum of $10 million coverage, specifically covering the business activities taking place during your hire. Your Certificate of Currency must be provided before your booking date.

Unfortunately, Soul Space Brisbane is not fully wheelchair accessible. While the width of the front door entrance and hall space entrance are wide enough for a wheelchair to enter, there is one step at the front door. The toilet is not big enough to accommodate a wheelchair.

No, the back wall is white and is perfect to project your presentation where you wish. There are block out blinds on one side of the hall to darken the space from the afternoon sun if needed.

No, we don’t organise catering services. You are welcome to have caterers deliver food as long as it is delivered in the time frame in which you are hiring the space. If participants are bringing their own food, we have a fridge and microwave within the hall space kitchenette for use. For information on nearby food options please visit the Location page.

We have the one unisex toilet/bathroom. This tends to only create a problem if your event is a full day with over approx. 25 people. 

Unfortunately, the toilet/bathroom is not wheelchair accessible.

Marketing offered when hiring the space is minimal. You are welcome to leave flyers or brochures about your upcoming event in the foyer at Soul Space Brisbane. 

Parking is free, on-street parking on either Parker St, Foster St or Kelvin St. We are not in a heavily built up area so parking is generally easy, available and very close by.

Yes, we are very close to public transport. Soul Space Brisbane is 450m to main bus stop on Enoggera Road. We are 2.8km to Windsor train station and 1.2km to Newmarket train station.

Use of candles, oil burners, incense, or anything involving an open flame (including portable cooktops) are NOT ALLOWED to be used in the venue.

No alcohol is to be consumed.

Smoking and vaping is not allowed within 5m of the entrance.
